WAVERLY RESTAURANT RENOVATION
Waverly Restaurant interior and exterior restaurant renovation and expansion.
385 6th Ave, New York, NY 10014
The Waverly Restaurant is a Landmark Diner in New York City’s Greenwich Village. The restaurant underwent its first renovation since opening when the owner decided to expand the diner into an adjacent commercial space. The client wanted to expand and modernize the restaurant without changing the atmosphere. The goal for this restaurant renovation was to maintain the original feel and character of the space. The owner had a large community of regular costumers and we did not want to disappoint them.
LANDMARK RESTAURANT RENOVATION
The diner is Landmarked by the NY Landmarks Preservation Commission. The restaurant renovation was approved by them and we took great care in maintaining the original character inside and out.
The diner had a mural that needed restoration wand was meticulously restored by Muralist Brad Marshall. In keeping with the spirit of the overall project Brad restored the mural to its original form with great respect to its history.
